Preliminary studies and drafting of the Ministerial Order VIV 561/2010 which develops the New Law – Technical Paper of the Basic Conditions of Accessibility and Non-Discrimination for Access and Use of urbanized Public Spaces, It came into in March 11, 2010. Madrid, Spain.

This Ministerial Order unifies for the first time in Spain the criteria and basic conditions of accessibility and non-discrimination for mobility and access to urban public spaces at a national level in Spain. The study included:

  • Development of the Comparative study of regional and international accessibility standards in relation to Royal Decree 505/2007 – Chapter II, for the realization of Technical Document Basic Conditions of Accessibility.
  • Drafting of the Ministerial Order VIV 561/2010.
  • Consultation process with all the Autonomous Communities for amendments and modifications of the M.O.VIV561/2010 including a governmental regional discussion meeting in Madrid, with 120 representatives.

Drafting of the new revised MO, process of review and modifications ready for approval by the Ministry.
