AMERIACC – Ica Accesible

The Project was intended to training local government specialists from the cities of ICA and PISCO and the Regional Government with the final purpose of avoiding barriers in urban reconstruction after the 2007 earthquake in the area.

It was completed with a review of the ongoing urban reconstruction projects in order to introduce improvements that could impact over the mobility and urban transport functionality. On site supervision was also performed in areas where reconstruction works had already started.

Specific courses where designed for engineers and architects in their last term from the National University San Luis Gonzaga and Alas Peruanas (120 students in each, aprox).

The project included the pre-project design of several urban amenities and infrastructure.

A plan for the promotion of accessible and active ageing tourism was started to be drafted with the President and technical team of the Ica region until a dismissal referendum over the mandate of the government was issued.
